I am a husband, father of 3 and worked in the private sector for the last 26 years. Aside from sporting clays I am an avid bird hunter, fly fisherman, tournament walleye fisherman, and generally enjoy most things outdoors.
My 13-year shooting experience has consisted of everything from serving previously on the MSCA Board as the MSCA President for 7 years and Vice President for a year prior and is my pleasure to serve as MSCA President for 2025.
I have been blessed to travel all over the country shooting and representing Michigan sporting clays.
God, family, friends, outdoors.
My name is Edward but I go by “Brooks” outside of work. I am new to the sport but am doing my best to learn as much as I can. I wish I had found this sport sooner! It's a tossup whether I enjoy the challenge or all the great people more. I started shooting in August of 2023 and have shot several times every week since. Not only do I want to become as good of a shooter as I can, but I also have a genuine desire to help others achieve their shooting potential and grow the sport. Becoming a director seemed like a logical step in that direction. Grand Blanc Huntsman is my home club. Outside of shooting I'm a fitness nut, health nut, duck hunter and archery hunter.

I am a lifelong shooting enthusiast and have enjoyed many of the shooting sports including NRA 4 position smallbore rifle shooting as a junior and later shooting big bore rifle competition in the Marine Corps and later as a civilian. I also shot competitive pistol many years ago including bullseye, PPC, and later IDPA. I returned to the shooting sports about 15 years ago primarily focused on skeet shooting where I was a member of both the NSSA and MSA. I served on the Michigan Skeet Association board for several years. I became active in the NSCA through the cross over program and have been more focused in sporting clays for about 4 years now and I am currently classified as AA.
Hi! My name is Amber Brown. I am 25 years old. I just finished my 9th season of my shooting career. I have a horse named Joe and a giant 3-year-old German shepherd named Thea. I currently live in Lapeer County. My day-to-day job is accounting/HR work for our construction companies in Metamora. I also have started coaching shooting professionally this past year and have been teaching some lessons after hours. I developed a specific love for shooting in high school and joined an SCTP team, which I later left after not caring for it. Subsequently, a year later my actual shooting career started with my dad at Grand Blanc Huntsman Club. Now, I’m a current 1st team all American member, 8X MI state champ and more recently had two top 5 finishes at both nationals and world championship. Striving for the top of the leaderboard nationally, I started travelling the circuit two years ago in attempts of making team USA. I have a heart for introducing those young and old to our sport and offering private lessons. I can’t wait to see what the future holds.

I have been a member of several United States fencing teams. I have fenced since the age of 15 all over the world and the United States. As a Veteran, I am trying to become an accomplished shooter. I own my law practice at the Law Office of Charles J. Schneider, P.C. in Livonia since 1984. As a business owner I have many managerial skills. I have been a member of the State Bar of Michigan for forty-three years. I am a member of the Board Directors of the non-profit Detroit Consumer Bankruptcy Association. I have both taught and written in my profession. I have excellent peer and client reviews as an attorney. I have enjoyed serving on the current board as I have gained many friendships there as well as among my fellow shooters on the shooting fields. I will help the Board move forward to serve the Michigan sporting clays community, Michigan shooters within the state with incentives, programs, and awards.

My name is Stephen Steele, and my passion for the shotgun sports started at the age of 12 when I received a single-shot .410 for my birthday. After struggling to connect with ruffed grouse in northern Michigan, I turned to the local sportsman’s club, where shortly after I joined their SCTP team. That experience sparked a deep love for the sport.
Though I took a break from shooting after high school, I returned to the sport in 2023. Since then, I’ve enjoyed shooting both locally and traveling across the country to compete. My time on the course has only deepened my appreciation for sporting clays and the community that surrounds it. Now, I’m excited to give back and support the continued growth of the sport in our state.
I currently reside in Troy with my two retrievers, Custer and Gwinnie, and in addition to sporting clays, I’m passionate about bow hunting and photography.
